Neoprufrok's Ride v1.2 and Defending My Hobbies

Well, I've had a few things done to my car recently so I figured I'd post em. Not to brag, but it's a good feeling to have your car personalized to your liking. My tint is dark though, so hopefully I will not be pulled over too many times for that. As for the wheels, they are Volk Racing 19x8.5 inch forged monoblock wheels. That just means they are very lightweight which makes for better handling and quicker acceleration.

Future modifications include a slightly revised suspension and also revised exhaust.

Now I do have something else I want to talk about briefly. It has to do with the fact that I find myself defending my hobbies to people close to me or even new people. I find that a lot of people lack the ambition and motivation to pursue interests outside of their profession and outside of their home (that means TV cannot be called a hobby). What irks me involves the offhand insult directed towards my interests when I describe it to people.

One such hobby involves my car. People laugh when I mention that I go hang out with fellow Audi owner's at the local Krispy Kreme. People sneer when I say that I like to go and look at cars. People call me obsessed when I spend hours upon hours waxing my car. Despite their condescending demeanor, I've still pursued my love of Audis and have met some of the better friends I have through this hobby (yes, that means you Dawn, Ken, John, Dave and Edwin!). While we come from completely different backgrounds, we all love our cars. But we do more than love our cars, it is the vehicle for socializing and learning about new interests and finding new friends.

Well, that wasn't really a rant session, although it seemed to be. It's more of a thank you to the new friends I have via the NorCal Audi crew and also a proud moment for my car. I love it.
